We are designated by San Mateo County as the primary provider of safety net services for the area between Montara and Half Moon Bay, collectively known as the mid-coast. Our clients are primarily the working poor and seniors on fixed incomes. In fiscal year 2014, our food programs provided 394,000 pounds of food to 2,765 people. In total, our Critical Family Needs safety net program helped 3,741 people. According to the 2010 Census, Coastside Hope’s service area contains 22,983 people. This means we provided food to over 12% of the people in our service area, and helped more than 16% of them with one or more of our Critical Family Needs programs. We rely on private donations and fundraisers for more than 20% of our operating budget every year. Thank you for your support, and good luck in the tournament!
