Coastside Hope in Action October 2012
Greetings!
Wondering what we’ve been up to since the spring newsletter?
April brought Ann and Nancy to the Stage
Nancy Marguilies and Ann Swanson staged a Coastside Hope benefit performance at the Community United Methodist Church. It was enlightening, unique, and full of laughter.
Thank you Nancy and Ann for your kind gift!
May was Mad Hatter Tea Party Month
Anyone who thinks “elegant” and “fun” don’t go together must not have been at the Mad Hatter Tea Party. This Coastside Hope awareness event was put together by Carolyn Waring and her crack team of volunteers – most of whom are members of the Half Moon Bay Odd Fellows. The event took place in the stunningly beautiful Odd Fellow Hall. Thank you Odd Fellows, Carolyn, and the zany ladies of the Mad Hatter Tea!
July 4th Parade
It was a foggy 4th on Main Street – but we’re Coastsiders, so we didn’t let that get in the way of some goo clean fun!
We stepped up the decorations a notch this year, but we couldn’t hold a candle to the other trucks and floats.
Want to take charge of our decorations next year?

A Sunny June Afternoon Meant a Rocking BBQ at Cameron’s Inn
Nigel and Clive’s British Invasion provided the ambiance, and Cameron provided the stage and the grub! Generous Coastsiders provided insanely cool raffle and door prizes and everyone had a blast while raising money for Coastside Hope. Special Thanks to Nigel and Clive, Cameron Palmer, John Simons, Eddie Andreini, La Nebbia Winery, HMB Golf Links, The Ritz Carleton, New Leaf, and Ujuva Spa.
July Brought Pig – N- Pinot Night at Flavor
Our good neighbors Fransisco and Devin partnered with Marcus D. of Alice Radio to host a benefit for Coastside Hope!
September Marathon
Coastside Hope staff board members, and volunteers sponsered the Ocean Aid Station at this year’s marathon – another foggy, fun day!
New Citizens
So far this year, 47 graduates of our free citizenship classes have become U.S. Citizens!
