4th Annual BBQ Was A Blast!

It’s hard to believe, but it’s already been four years since we launched our annual BBQ fundraiser series. After three great years at our good friend Cameron’s, we held this event at our new venue, beautiful Maverick’s Event Center in Princeton Harbor. Rocking the night as usual were the lads from abroad, Nigel & Clive and the British Invasion.

Thank you to all our generous supporters who turned out on a gorgeous mid-summer evening to partake in a fabulous buffet dinner. Together we enjoyed seaside views, Maverick’s craft beer on tap, fine wines, and time spent with good friends and neighbors. Many thanks to Executive Chef Gaston Alfaro for providing a feast fit for royalty.

This year we stepped up our game with a live broadcast on KHMB radio hosted by veteran broadcaster Peter Finch. After dinner, we moved tables aside to create space for the impromptu dance party that sprang up! It was with great regret we had to end the event, and the lads appropriately rounded things out with a rendition of The Animals’ “We Gotta Get Out of This Place.”

We are happy to report that this year’s annual BBQ fundraiser was a great success. Thanks to our very generous event sponsors, silent auction donors, and event attendees, we netted over $5,500 from one evening of good cheer!
