Immigration & Citizenship

Supporting Clients & Families

Becoming A U.S. Citizen

One of the qualities that makes the Coastside unique is its vibrant and culturally diverse community. People from a wide range of backgrounds, including Mexico, Portugal, the Middle East, Europe, Asia, the Philippines, and beyond, all contribute to the rich fabric of our neighborhood, working together to create a better life for themselves and their families.

Coastside Hope offers support to individuals and families who live and work on the Coastside and are seeking permanent residency. While many aspire to become U.S. citizens, they often find navigating the legal system overwhelming.

Coastside Hope is proud to be a member of the United Coalition for Immigrant Services, a partnership between two collaboratives: CRISP (Collaborative Resources for Immigrant Services on the Peninsula, established in 2005) and SBLISN (South Bay Legal Immigration Services Network, established in 2009). This coalition comprises 16 organizations that provide free and low-cost immigration legal services to children, families, and older adults in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties.

Services Our Office Provides

This general information does not constitute individualized legal advice. Please be aware that these applications and petitions are complex, and a seemingly minor issue can make someone ineligible for the immigration benefit being sought. We recommend that if you are interested in learning more about these particular services, contact our offices for a consultation.

Lorena Galindo, Paralegal and Immigration OLAP Accredited Representative, and Alondra Juarez-Orozco, Immigration Assistant, help make the process more manageable and rewarding. Thanks to a grant from the Zellerbach Foundation, Anthony Moss also teaches free weekly citizenship classes at Coastside Hope.

*Consultations by Appointment Only. Please call 650-726-9071 ext. 229 to schedule an individual consultation. The initial consultation is $30.
