Client Story: Dan

“Dan” has been a homeless client of Coastside Hope for many years. Over the years, we helped him enroll in CalFresh, Medi-Cal, our food pantry program, and other programs. Recently Dan asked about rental assistance. His case manager explained the process and helped him understand the rental assistance program.

Once Dan gathered the required documents, his case manager helped him apply for move-in rental assistance. He was approved for the housing deposit and the first two months rent. The additional two months rent increases the likelihood that Dan can remain stably housed. Dan was very thankful when he received the good news.

Rental assistance is one of a wide range of services we provide that serve a common goal: to stabilize local families in their time of need and prevent homelessness.
