Coastside Hope’s mission is to offer basic life necessities with dignity and hope to all mid-Coast residents. We offer hope on a non-discriminatory basis to everyone living in our service area, including Montara, Moss Beach, El Granada, Half Moon Bay, and La Honda.
Our client base represents about 15% of the population of the mid-Coast and includes: the working poor, the homeless, seniors living below the poverty level, the disabled, and families and/or individuals in crisis.
In total, our safety net programs served 3,473 Coastsiders in Fiscal Year 2016, and the most important safety net service we offer is free food. The primary recipients of our food programs are needy families with children. Between Senior Brown Bag, Family Harvest, and the Emergency Pantry, we distributed more than 450,000 pounds of food – more than 375,000 meals – in FY 2016.
This would not have been possible without the generous support of so many Coastside neighbors. Thank You.
