Silicon Valley Gives 2015

Tuesday, May 5th is Cinco de Mayo—but it’s also the Second Annual SV Gives online telethon, sponsored by Silicon Valley Community Foundation, Microsoft, and other local corporations.

I am proud to announce that Judy and Denis O’Leary have issued a
$5,000 Coastside Hope challenge grant for this one-day, bay-area wide giving day.

You can help earn this prize by scheduling your donation now at svgives.razoo.com/story/Coastsidehope.

Or join us at the Coastside Hope table at Cameron’s on SVGives day from 3-6 PM, where KHMB Radio will be broadcasting live, and donate on our laptop. This is your chance to be interviewed on-air by Jim Henderson of KHMB and tell your neighbors why you support Coastside Hope!

If you can’t make it to Cameron’s on 5/5/15 between 3 and 6 pm, be sure to listen in on KHMB radio AM 1710 ~ FM 100.9 or khmbradio.com

Silicon Valley Gives so Coastside Hope can help your low-income neighbors!

Neighbors like IrmaLocal senior Irma had serious health issues—so serious, she was told by her doctors that she would never be able to return home. So before going to surgery, she sold all her possessions. Happily, the doctor’s pessimism was unfounded—Irma recovered and returned home to an empty house.

Irma called her case manager at Coastside Hope and asked for help. Through Facebook and personal contacts, we put out the word to you, our good neighbors, and to other Coastside agencies. And you responded—calls and emails quickly came in offering clothing, household goods, and furnishings. Thanks to you, Irma has clothes to wear and a bed to sleep in. Thank you good neighbors!

Thank you for caring about your neighbors in need.
