Critical Family Needs
As the primary community assistance agency for the San Mateo County mid-coast region, Coastside Hope provides assistance for emergency needs including: food, rental and utility assistance, referrals for healthcare, help with complex forms, and advocacy. The ongoing economic troubles are reflected in the increased need for our services.
We cannot help our neighbors in need without the financial support and hard work of our neighborhood donors, volunteers, and community partners. You give over 5,000 hours of service every year, and provide more than 20% of our funding. Thank you for your support.
We also wish to thank our major 2011-2012 funders, without whom we could not help our neighbors in need:
Atkinson Foundation
County of San Mateo
Genentech
Philanthropic Ventures Foundation
San Francisco Foundation
Silicon Valley Community Foundation
Tanklage Family Foundation
Van Loben/Sels RembeRock Foundation
Zellerbach Family Foundation
In Fiscal Year Ending 2012, our staff performed over 7,800 critical needs assessments. Overall in FYE 2012, with the help of more than 5,000 hours of volunteer service, we provided the following support services while serving more than 3,000 qualifying individuals:
