About Coastside Hope

Coastside Hope is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit multi-service center which was incorporated in 1976. Our Federal Identification Number is 51-0199747. We are located at 99 Avenue Alhambra, El Granada, CA. Our mailing address is POB 1089, El Granada, CA 94018. Contact us by phone at 650-726-9071.

We were originally formed to provide job placement for local residents and called the Coastside Opportunity Center. Over the years, we have added other services in response to community needs. In 2006, we changed our name to Coastside Hope to better reflect what we bring to our clients and our community….hope for a better and more secure future.

Coastside Hope exists to offer basic life necessities with dignity and hope to all those making the San Mateo Coastside their home.

Our Vision

Coastside Hope envisions a day when all Coastsiders are able to pursue their dreams without worrying about food, clothing, and safe shelter. 

Coastside Hope is governed by a community-based Board of Directors. We thank you for visiting our site and invite you to join us in our mission to provide hope to our neighbors on the Coastside.

Coastside Hope relies on the generosity of Coastsiders who care about helping their fellow coastsiders for almost one-third of our funding.  Over 90% of every dollar given goes directly to goods and services for those in need. Without this support and the countless hours of time contributed by our many volunteers, we would not be able to continue to make the critical difference in so many lives.
